Eagle Fest | Feb. 3 | White Mountain Nature Center

Head over to the White Mountain Center on February 3. at 9:00 a.m. for an update on the current eagle populations.

This year’s sponsors include the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Liberty Wildlife, Lazy Oaks Resort on Rainbow Lake as well as the White Mountain Nature Center.

Game and Fish will provide an update on current eagle populations and management in Arizona. Also, a quick update on the status of Eagles in the White Mountains area and what people can do for eagles.

Documentary  “The Weight of a Feather” produced by PBS and narrated by Peter Coyote, which describes the non-eagle feather repository program that Liberty Wildlife administers in Phoenix.

Altercation under investigation leaves one person dead

Show Low- Brady Ieler was charged with 2nd-degree murder and other charges after two people were left injured and one person died at the scene. The case remains under investigation.

AZGOP employee was fired for voicing his opinion to Sen. Rogers

POLITICS- Scott Kissee, a disabled Army veteran, was fired from the Republican Party of Arizona (AZGOP) for having an exchange with AZ Sen. Wendy Rogers on a radio station. The exchange stemmed from Sen. Rogers' abhorrent defense of Steve Slaton's military claims.

Apache County armed standoff suspect identified

APACHE COUNTY- The suspect involved in the Apache County armed standoff near HWY 60 and CR 3095 has been identified, and charges have been filed.
