Heber man accused of crimes against a minor skips court hearing

Heber-Overgaard- Joseph Riccardi was scheduled for a Sept. 23 pretrial conference and did not appear, according to court records, resulting in a warrant for his arrest.

Due to Riccardi’s failure to appear at his Sept. 23 pretrial conference, a warrant has been issued for his arrest, according to court records.

Riccardi faces multiple charges that stem from incidents that occurred with a minor at his local restaurant, according to charging documents.

Riccardi’s restaurant, New York Eats and Treats, has been closed since he was arrested in early August.

It’s unclear whether Riccardi has left the state and gone on the run, or if he will attempt to turn himself in at some point.
