John Robert Hagelstein entered into rest on September 1, 2023. He was born December 17, 1957, in Los Angeles, California to Jim and Betty Hagelstein.

He was the fire chief in Snowflake and worked at Arizona Fireworks.

John is survived by his father, Jim; his sons, Kevin (Kristin) Hagelstein, Erick (Michelle) Hagelstein, and Erik Hagelstein; and daughter, Abigail Hagelstein; sister, Kara; and six grandchildren, Eli, Elle, Alicia, Jenna, Madison, and Rosalina.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Hagelstein.
