Manuel Ruiz | Missing Since 2013

On December 21, 2013 Manuel Ruiz was last seen in the area of North
16th Avenue and West Glendale Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. He may have traveled to Winslow, Arizona after his disappearance, or he may have remained in the Phoenix area. Few details are available in his case.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

His mother Teresa Avendano, says Manuel is from Winslow AZ but moved to Phoenix with her and his brother after his dad passed unexpectedly. He had a history of running away, but on Dec 21st of 2013, he never returned.

“It’s been 10 years since, and as a mother it’s the worst gut wrenching feeling of not knowing. I have worked with different agencies and resources to find my son, I have not heard any word,” said Avendano.

“I still hold onto love, hope and faith that he will reach out and let us know he is okay and safe.”

5’06” tall, 120 pounds, black hair with brown eyes. Manuel has a scar

  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Biracial (Hispanic/Native American) male. Black hair, brown eyes. Manuel may use the names Anthony Avendano, Manuel Avendano, Michael Ruiz and/or Daniel Rodriguez. He has a two-inch scar on the back of his right hand.
