Sound of Freedom Shines a Light on Human Trafficking.

The movie is based on an incredible true story that shines a light on even the darkest of places. The movie is a tear-jerker designed to get us to care more about the horrors of child sex trafficking-and we should. It does that by telling the story of our most precious children in danger, being trafficked around the country.

Tim Ballard, played by the gentle and gravely serious Jim Caviezel, shoulders the movie’s message of suffering just like when he played Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.”

Caviezel depicts Ballard as the ultimate hero. The father and husband leaves his job at Homeland Security 10 months before being eligible for a pension because he cares so deeply about the atrocities that the trafficked children and families go through.

He travels to Colombia, and instead of only catching pedophiles like he has done approximately 300 times before, he goes to Colombia to help rescue stolen, trafficked children.

“Sound of Freedom” takes place in, and posits to be, a tough conversation piece about the world of child sex trafficking. It’s a strong, suspenseful thriller that avoids being explosive while dealing with delicate subject matter.

If you’re willing to grow that conversation-I highly recommend watching “Sound of Freedom.”
