Dow closes more than 1,200 points as global equity downturn continues

U.S. stocks plunged for a third consecutive trading day, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbling more than 1,200 points, amid growing fears of an economic downturn sparked by a sharp slowdown in hiring and weakening consumer spending.

Chase Bank suitcase suspect identified

SHOW LOW- Jimmy Schrage, 61 yrs old, of Clay Springs, left a suitcase outside of Chase Bank on Show Low because 'spirits' told him to put the suitcase on the front steps. He was booked on charges.

Apache County Attorney’s staff writes letter to Whiting asking him to resign

APACHE COUNTY-Apache County Attorney's Office staff wrote a letter to Michael B. Whiting, asking him to resign after their office was searched with a search warrant on Tuesday in an investigation led by the Arizona Attorney General's Office. Whiting's whereabouts remain unknown.
