URGENT: Vulnerable 19-year-old Emma Sheets, also known as Emily Sheets Reynolds, is missing after leaving a Pinetop care facility and arriving at Arrowhead Abrazo in Glendale for further care. She left the Glendale hospital with a man she met online, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since July 19—Family Pleads for Public’s Help.

The family of 19-year-old Emma Sheets, also known as Emily Sheets Reynolds, is pleading for immediate public assistance after she disappeared from a Glendale hospital.

The family states Sheets has developmental delays, cognitive disabilities, depression, anxiety, and a history of suicidal ideation. She requires daily medication that her mother says she has not been taking. She was last seen on July 19, leaving Arrowhead Abrazo Hospital in Glendale with a man she met online.

The disappearance began with a troubling chain of events. On July 5, Emma connected with the man while playing Fortnite and arranged for an Uber to pick her up.

The family states Sheets went to a care facility in Pinetop, Arizona, before being instructed to transfer to Arrowhead Abrazo in Glendale for further care, where her family says she was told to fast for three days before leaving with the man. Since her departure, Emma’s phone has gone straight to voicemail, her Life360 location sharing is disabled, and all social media accounts are deactivated, according to the family.

Friends and family have received no communication from her. Emma’s family says they encountered repeated delays while trying to file a missing person’s report on the night of July 19.

According to the Sheets family, the Show Low Police Department did not open a case and directed the family to the Mesa Police Department. Mesa PD then redirected them to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, which placed them on hold for more than 30 minutes before transferring the call to the Glendale Police Department. At 10:16 p.m., Glendale PD Officer Powers, Badge #13142, opened a file — Case #25-034409 — and told the family Emma’s case qualified for a Turquoise Alert, Arizona’s system for missing vulnerable adults.

The family said, “Powers followed up twice more that night, stating they were working on alert criteria, a phone ping, and a social media check, and that a detective would call in the morning. Fifteen hours later, the family says they have received no follow-up from any detective despite multiple messages left with the Glendale PD.”

The family fears Emma may be in immediate danger given her health needs, vulnerability, and dependence on medication, and they believe she may be subject to exploitation, given that she left with an adult male she met online. They are calling on Glendale PD to immediately issue the Turquoise Alert, complete a phone ping, cell trace, and Uber ride record request, review Arrowhead Abrazo Hospital surveillance footage and patient transfer records, and trace social media and online communications with the man she left with.

Anyone with information about Emma Sheets Reynolds (also known as Emma Clark) is urged to contact the Glendale Police Department immediately and reference Case #25-034409 and Officer Powers, Badge #13142.
