Some Northern Arizona school districts will receive low or no-emissions school buses

Blue Ridge USD and Joseph City USD will receive one propane bus each. Sanders USD will receive two electric buses. In all, more than $40 million in federal funding will provide 23 Arizona school districts with new alternative fuel buses.

“This $40 million investment from my bipartisan infrastructure law will bring innovative and clean energy school buses across Arizona so students can safely travel to school and take steps towards a cleaner, healthier, and safer Arizona,” said Sinema, co-author and lead negotiator of the bipartisan infrastructure law.

“Every child in Arizona deserves to breathe clean air. That’s why our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is making investments to allow more students to ride zero and low-emission school buses that reduce pollution and improve air quality,” said Kelly.

How will propane buses handle going up our steep roads, and will the buses have the power to maneuver through the snow-filled mountainous terrain?
