Annual Fire-Wise Block Party

PINETOP-The Annual Fire wise block party, hosted by Pinetop and Timber Mesa Fire Districts was a worthwhile event. Local agencies and business brought community fire awareness ideas and tactics that every resident should know. The community asked excellent questions that were answered by local fire professionals during a presentation and community discussions.

“Danger is around the corner. While the White Mountains had favorable winter and spring precipitation, wildfire remains a risk! Just look at the Flying V Fire south of our communities. Wildfire is unpredictable and can be destructive at a moment’s notice. You don’t have to be a victim. By creating defensible space, you can protect your most prized investment, your family, and home,” said Pinetop Fire District Chief Jim Morgan.
