White Mountain Nature Center is Hosting an E-Bike Event.

This Saturday, September 9 from 6 – 7 p.m., the White Mountain Nature Center (WMNC) welcomes Joya Szalwinski, a Recreation Staff Officer with the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Lakeside District, for a special presentation on “Ethics in Motion – E-bike Commotion.”

Szalwinski’s presentation will give you the latest information on the policies and regulations regarding the use of e-bikes – where they are legal and where they are not – and the current challenges of trying to stay ahead of evolving technology and its place in the forest.

The forest is under immense pressure to provide recreational experiences for everyone, and these impacts are taking a toll. When is enough, enough? Can we share the forest with wildlife, or even each other? Will we keep wildlife wild? Will Nature rule?

Come and discover how you can help protect our forest world – by minimizing impacts and respecting limits (and each other).

The WMNC is located at 425 S. Woodland Rd., Lakeside.
This event is free for members with a suggested donation of $10 for non-members.
