Loren Edwards, Jr. “Point” went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was born on October 16, 1992, Laveen, Arizona to Jonell Garland and The Late Loren Edwards, Sr.

Loren is survived by his mother, Jonell Garland, three brothers, Steve Duryea, Sr., Freddie Dazen, Jr., and Quintino Riley; one daughter; aunts, Latashya Garland-Bead, Carol Hosay and Cherlynn Platt, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loren Edwards, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Sarafina and Homer Hosay, Jr.; paternal great grandparents, Gussie and Lonnie Edwards; maternal grandparents, Jane and George Garland, Jr.; nephew, Steve Duryea, Jr.; sister, Heaven Joy Garland; brothers, Frederick Dazen and Ferrando Dazen; cousins, Albert Standing, Jr. and Reggie Standing; aunts, Caroline Edwards, Yvonne Martinez, Lelola Platt and Saralynn Edwards; uncles, Preston Edwards, Kevin Edwards and Gabriel Garland, Sr.

The Home Services at Carol Hosay’s house, 4621 East Fork Tessler Road, East Fork, Arizona, starts at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023.  Interment follows at the Garland Family Plot, East Fork, Arizona.

AZGOP employee was fired for voicing his opinion to Sen. Rogers

POLITICS- Scott Kissee, a disabled Army veteran, was fired from the Republican Party of Arizona (AZGOP) for having an exchange with AZ Sen. Wendy Rogers on a radio station. The exchange stemmed from Sen. Rogers' abhorrent defense of Steve Slaton's military claims.

Apache County armed standoff suspect identified

APACHE COUNTY- The suspect involved in the Apache County armed standoff near HWY 60 and CR 3095 has been identified, and charges have been filed.
