Terrorist Threats in Apache County

APACHE COUNTY-Man threatens to shoot Apache County Superior Court Staff and Officers.

On January 23rd, 2024, the Apache County Sheriff’s Office assisted the St. Johns Police Department in the arrest of Karl Richard Milton Rhodes for a violation of Arizona Revised Statutes 13-2308.02. A -Terrorism (Terrorist Threats with a Firearm).

Rhodes called the Apache County Superior Court Building at 70 W. 3rd St. South in St. Johns, Arizona and threatened to shoot the court staff with a firearm. Rhodes also threatened to shoot any officer that tried to “Assault” him. He was taken into custody without incident in the vicinity of 24 CR8272 in Apache County, AZ. And was booked into the Apache County Jail.
