PINETOP-LAKESIDE — The Pinetop Fire District officially welcomed Joshua Livermore as its new fire chief during a swearing-in ceremony held June 15, 2026.

Chief Livermore took the oath of office administered by the district’s board chair, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the district and the community it serves.

Adding a personal touch to the ceremony, Livermore’s wife, Rebecca, pinned on his chief’s badge as family members, district personnel, and supporters looked on.

The district expressed enthusiasm for Livermore’s leadership and the experience, dedication, and commitment he brings to the organization and the Pinetop-Lakeside community.

During the ceremony, the district also recognized Firefighter Fredrico “Rico” Riley for five years of consecutive service with the Pinetop Fire District. Riley was honored for his professionalism, dedication, and commitment to serving residents and visitors throughout the community.

District officials thanked Riley for his service and encouraged the public to join them in congratulating both Livermore and Riley on their respective milestones.
